"Whoever knowingly displays any... likeness of the Great Seal of the United States... for the purpose of conveying, or in a manner reasonably calculated to convey, a false impression of sponsorship or approval by the Government of the United States... shall be fined not more than $250 or imprisoned not more than six months, or both." – U.S. Code, Title 18, Part I, Chapter 33, Section 713(a)

The National Rifle Association displays America's Great Seal
at their Sep. 21, 2007 convention in Washington DC.

Do the leaders of the National Rifle Association believe they represent the American people? An Oct. 1, 2007 Associated Press story suggests "yes." It reports how the NRA lobbied heavily to stop the United States from supporting an international treaty to regulate weapons that cause atrocities – a treaty most Americans would favor.

Thanks to National Rifle Association lobbyists, the USA cast the only vote against a United Nations General Assembly resolution to initiate the process of this important international treaty to regulate and control the worldwide trade in weapons that contribute to conflict and atrocities – 153 other nations voted for it.

What is it about "well regulated" the NRA leadership doesn't understand?
The Supreme Court should pay attention to George Washington's
references to "WELL REGULATED
."

Rifles over shield NRA logo distorts founding principles – In the logo of the National Rifle Association, the American eagle clutches one of the rifles forming an "X" in a symbolically superior position to the shield of the United States and the olive branch (which the Founding Fathers said denotes "the power of peace").

Another distortion of founding principles is how the leaders of the National
Rifle Association have cherry picked the Second Amendment to
justify a proliferation of deadly weapons in our nation.
They ignore the intention of the Founding Fathers.
This Amendment is really about SECURITY.
